Two of the DECSC's group clubs, Broughty Athletic FC and Broughty United AFC, took part in the Lyall Murdoch Memorial Trophy Tournament.

Hosted by Broughty Athletic at Whitton Park, Broughty United AFC were joined by Fraserburgh FC and a Dundee FX XI over the week-end of Friday 22, Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 July.

Results of the tournament matches were as follows: 

Friday: Broughty Athletic 2 Dundee FC Under 19s 2 (Broughty won 4-3 on penalties)

Saturday: Broughty United AFC 1 Fraserburgh 7  

Sunday - Third and Fourth Place Play-off: Broughty United AFC1 Dundee FC Under 19s 8

Sunday - Final: Broughty Athletic 1 Fraserburgh 0
