Kevin Lee, Dundee born and bred, attended University of Abertay where he gained a BSC (Hons) Sports Coaching with Development. He then worked as a Scottish Football Association (SFA) Football Development Officer with Dundee Football Club, where the Community Programme won the 2005 SPL Bank of Scotland Highly Commended Award.  

 

Since 2005  Kevin has been the SFA’s Club Development Officer for the East Region since 2005, and as part of this role he is an advisor to the Dundee East Community Sports Club.  

 

Kevin is based at the East Region Offices at the Lynch Sports Centre in Dundee’s South Road and is Club Development Manager for an area that covers Fife, Perth & Kinross, Angus and Dundee City. He is tasked with focusing on the implementation of the Club and Volunteer Development strand of the Youth Action Plan within the area which includes:

 

1.Quality Mark: Ensure that as many clubs as possible are given full support and guidance towards achieving the Scottish FA’s club accreditation scheme and subsequently enjoy the benefits to their club.

 

2.Community Clubs: create an awareness of the benefits of community based clubs that unite local clubs, schools and sporting facilities to provide the best possible opportunities and sporting pathways within a defined community.

3.School Club Links: Ensure that appropriate contacts and pathways are established between clubs and schools to develop a more integrated approach to developing opportunities for young people.

4.Elite Club Development Programme: To support the Scottish FA’s Women’s Department in the implementation of the Elite Club Development Programme across the region.
