The Secretary of the Dundee Schools FA, Mr. Grenville Dawson, recently wrote to Broughty Athletic President Gordon following the use of Whitton Park to host a double-header of Secondary finals:

Thanks very much to you and everybody on your committee for the help in getting the games played last night.  It was great to have a park in such good condition and the two games were closely fought affairs which deserved such a park.”

The two finals in question were played on Tuesday 31 May. The first to be played was the Under 13s Logie Cup Final between holders Grove and St. Paul's. Grove won the trophy for the third year in a row by beating St. Paul's 4-2 on penalties after a 1-1 draw.

The second match was the final of the Under 16s Robert Caira Memorial Trophy which was won by Braeview with a 2-0 victory over St. John’s. Full match reports on both matches (and others), plus some terrific photographs, can be found on the Dundee Schools FA site at www.dundeesfa.webs.com
