Graeme Kell (Broughty Athletic Football Club)
Graeme is Vice-President of Broughty Athletic Football Club and is the Plant Maintenance Manager for Scottish & Southern Energy (SSE) in Tayside & Central districts. He has worked for SSE for three years, having previously worked for ABB in Dundee for thirty years before they closed their Dundee operation.
Graeme’s position within SSE means he has also become involved with Barnado's works scheme as a mentor, which, as he willingly admits “opened my eyes to the problems our younger generation encounter”.
Graeme has also kindly provided the following précis of his football interests:
"I joined Broughty Athletic's committee when my brother became manager of the team and remained on the committee for about seven years. I have been Vice-President of Broughty Athletic for the past three years.
"Prior to my Broughty involvement, I also served on the committee of Kingsway Athletic Amateur Club in their first few seasons and I was a season ticket holder at Tannadice for over twenty-five years before becoming involved at Whitton Park.
“On a lighter note, being involved with football has enabled me to avoid shopping on Saturdays, as being married for over thirty years and having two daughters, a man needs male company at least one day a week!"
Scott Paterson (Broughty United Amateur Football Club)
Scott, who is married to Rhona and has two daughters, Stephanie and Kirsten, is a Principal Teacher for Support Mathematics at Grove Academy in Broughty Ferry, where he has taught for over twenty-five years.
Scott’s involvement with amateur football began in 1977 when he joined Broughty United A.F.C. During his time with Broughty United, he served on the General Committee, Social and Fund Raising Committee and has also held the positions of Secretary, Match Secretary and Vice President. He is currently President of the club and has held this position for the last three years.
Broughty United A.F.C. is affiliated to Broughty Ferry Y.M.C.A. and Scott has served on the Board of the Y.M.C.A. for the last two years.
Mike Anderson (Broughty United Amateur Football Club)
Forty-seven year old Mike (as at March 2011!) is Branch Manager of Pickfords Dundee and has held that post since September 2009.
He has been with Broughty United Amateur Football Club for approx seventeen years, and has been Player Manager of the BUAFC second team since 1999. Prior to joining Broughty United, Mike was captain of Bank Street Albion in the Sunday Welfare League for ten seasons.
Mike is also Club Secretary of Broughty United, a post he has held since 2002, and during the 2008-09 season he was also his club’s Vice President.
George Ferguson (Broughty United Youth Football Club)
George is President of Broughty United Youth Football Club and was a founder member of the club in 1973.
Space doesn’t permit us to do justice to his many contributions to various sporting and community organisation in Dundee. Suffice to say he has been a youth coach for forty years, a disability coach for over twenty years and is a past chairman of Dundee City Disability Sport.
He is also the founder Chairman of Tayside Special Olympics Group and assisted that group in obtaining Charitable Status; in addition he is the founder of Dundee Disability Curling at Dundee Ice Arena.
He is by profession a Messenger-at-Arms and Sheriff Officer in the Court of Session, the supreme civil court in Scotland, conducting citation and diligence duties for the for Sheriff Court of Tayside, Central and Fife and also for the Court of Session throughout Scotland.
In addition to his contact with local youth via his long-time association with Broughty United Youth Football Club, George has considerable experience of local sports across Scotland via his work as an office bearer of the Scottish Association of Local Sports Councils and his membership of the Executive of Dundee City Sports Council.
John MacKay (Broughty United Youth FC)
John, who the Treasurer of Broughty United Youth FC, has worked in BT for 34 years, holding numerous finance-related jobs during that period, and he is currently a Financial Risk Consultant.
His involvement with youth football is linked to his son Alan, who played for Monifieth as a goalkeeper for four years before joining Broughty United.
John was Treasurer of the Under 15's and 16's as well as Club Treasurer. His son Alan is now helping to coach the under 9's and he moved with the boys to the Under 10's for the 2009-10 season.
Niall Nicolson (Broughty United Youth FC)

Niall has been involved with Broughty United Youth Football Club (BUYFC) for four years and is currently Team Manager of the Under 13s. He has a Level 4 coaching qualification and is currently coach co-ordinator for Broughty Youths.
In January 2011 BUYFC announced that they have been awarded 'Community Club' status through the Scottish FA Quality Mark. The club reserved "special congratulations" for Coach Co-ordinator Niall and added: "Niall has done a power of work recently to make this happen and the club are grateful for his dedication and effort.
Niall works as a football coordinator for Dundee City Council Sports Development and the Scottish FA.
Lee Craigie (Broughty United Youth FC)
Lee has been involved with Broughty United Youth Football Club (BUYFC) since 2007 and is currently Team Manager of the Under 16s. He has a Level 4 coaching qualification and is currently the website developer for the club as well as being Press Officer for DECSC.
Lee works as a Secondary School football coordinator for Dundee City Council Sports Development and the Scottish FA and is also a leader in the Boys' Brigade in his spare time.
Fergus Middleton (Ferry Athletic Football Club)
Fergus has been with Ferry Athletic for over seven years and has been chairman of the club since 2009. He played football as a youth for Broughty United and Monifieth Tayside and also played junior football for East Craigie, along with various local amateur teams.
Fergus has worked in the graphic design, desk top publishing and advertising industry for over twenty-five years and currently works for local Broughty Ferry company Avian.
Mike Butler (Douglas Lads Club)
